NYSGE | New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy

Fellows Corner

Welcome to the NYSGE Fellows Corner, dedicated to providing a wide variety of information specific to the interests of gastroenterology fellows.  Drawing on the rich expertise of NYSGE members and thought leaders at the forefront of endoscopic research, the Fellows Corner explores challenging cases and examines rapidly advancing techniques in gastroenterology.  NYSGE invites all New York area training hospitals to contribute to the Fellows Corner.

In addition to challenging cases and new techniques, future Fellows Corner posts will highlight important information about training and career planning, including such topics as:

  • How today’s healthcare system will impact the future of gastroenterology
  • How to apply for a job after fellowship and deciding between an academic career or private practice
  • Resources for gastroenterology board review
  • Postings and reviews of city-wide rotations (i.e., therapeutic endoscopy, IBD, manometry/motility, etc)
  • Review of endoscopic techniques, radiology, and pathology in interesting clinical cases
  • Creation of a clinical research web where fellows at any city institution can quickly identify similar interests at the faculty and fellow level at other institutions
  • Review of landmark clinical trials
Fellows from New York area programs are invited and encouraged to submit content for the Fellows Corner.  If interested, please contact Dr. Susana Gonzalez for more information.
