Florence Lefcourt Endoscopy Research AwardDeadline for Applications: December 15, 2017 by 6:00 pm Eastern
This $20,000 award supports projects related to endoscopy. Candidates who are both NYSGE and ASGE members and currently engaged in a gastroenterology-related endoscopic practice at an academic institution or private practice are eligible to apply. The Florence Lefcourt Endoscopy Research Award is administered by the ASGE Foundation.
ObjectiveTo foster research in gastrointestinal endoscopy and to honor Florence Lefcourt who served for many years as NYSGE’s first Executive Director.
DescriptionThe New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (NYSGE) and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) Foundation are currently accepting applications for the Florence Lefcourt Endoscopy Research Award to support projects related to endoscopy. Such projects may include but are not limited to technical endoscopy research, clinical endoscopy research, outreach or population studies related to endoscopy, and any disease diagnosis or management area that involves endoscopy.
EligibilityCandidate must be a member of both ASGE and NYSGE, be an MD, DO or have equivalent clinical doctorate degree, and be currently engaged in a gastroenterology-related endoscopic practice at an academic institution or private practice.
