Course Description
EUS has evolved from a diagnostic modality to a powerful therapeutic endoscopic tool. Major recent advancements in EUS will be presented in a rapid-fire fashion. Focus will be on factors driving interventional EUS including, Pancreatic Fluid Collections (PFCs), Biliary Access, Gallbladder Drainage, EUS-Guided Enteral Access, EUS Ablation of Pre-Malignant and Malignant Lesions, and EUS Hepatology. This program is presented in memory of Peter D. Stevens, MD an outstanding innovator and teacher of advanced endoscopy procedures.

Learning Objectives
After attending the program, participants will be able to:
  • Discuss controversies in approaches for drainage of pancreatic fluid collections and opportunities for reducing adverse events
  • Identify approaches, technical challenges, and adverse events for EUS-biliary access, EUS-gallbladder drainage, and EUS enteral access
  • Describe options and adverse events for EUS ablative and therapeutic technologies for pre-malignant and malignant lesions
  • Describe opportunities for using EUS technologies in patients with advanced liver disease
