Course Description
This course will present gastroenterologists with information and options for the treatment of obesity, from the administration of medication to endoscopic therapies including balloons, botulinum toxin, and suturing. Learn about the latest diets, including intermittent fasting and what you need to know. Finally, understand when to refer to surgery and the latest surgical guidelines and techniques.

Learning Objectives
  • Identify the latest fad diets and how to choose the best diet for each type of patient
  • Discuss the newest FDA-approved medications for weight loss including the latest “game changer”
  • Recognize the indications and contraindications for the latest endoscopic treatment for obesity
