Program Description
In recognition of Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, this seminar will focus on the risks for this disease within vulnerable populations. The program will highlight genetic risk factors for colorectal cancer, review the characteristics of young onset colorectal cancer, and address the disparities in colorectal cancer that exist among minority populations.
 
Learning Objectives
  • Identify strategies to assess genetic risk for colorectal cancer including appropriate use of germline genetic testing in individuals with and without colorectal cancer
  • Recognize the trends and characteristics of young onset colorectal cancer
  • Describe the existing disparities in colorectal cancer among minority populations
