This lecture will focus on differences in ESD methodology as generally practiced in Eastern and Western countries including pathological definition, GI neoplasms, ESD devices, techniques and clinical institutional outcomes. It will also review recent updates to ESD guidelines as made by the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society.
